  • F&C has grown via acquisition over many years and had multiple trading, risk and compliance systems across the organisation
  • Cadis was purchased to facilitate a strategy of standardising the front office environment for portfolio management, trading, compliance and risk across multiple back office systems
  • The key initial challenge was combining, cleansing and providing all the data required by the data governance organisation as well as the new trading, compliance and risk systems being implemented in parallel with Cadis. This spanned across securities, prices, issuers, positions, indices, trades, etc
  • The project was run in parallel across multiple teams and projects on the same single instance of Cadis. The first phase was live in approximately four months with initial flows of data going to the single platform occurring on a daily basis from the first month onwards
  • Cadis is facilitating a complete data management solution across multiple back offices feeding a single global trading, risk and compliance platform for the entire organisation in a twenty-four-seven environment
